How City Bonfires Gives Back: Bringing Light to Communities in Times of Disaster

When we invented City Bonfires, our mission was simple: create a safe, portable, easy-to-use fire that anyone could enjoy—at home, outdoors, on the go, or wherever life takes them. What we didn’t expect was how often our little portable fire would be used during some of the hardest moments families and communities face: natural disasters, power outages, emergencies, and times of crisis.

Over the years, customers have reached out to tell us how City Bonfires helped them boil water during a blackout, heat food after a storm, stay warm when power lines were down, or simply bring light and comfort to a frightening situation. Those stories changed us. They made it clear that City Bonfires wasn’t just a product for camping or s’mores nights—it was a tool that could bring warmth, safety, and hope when people needed it most.

That’s why we created City Bonfires for Disaster Relief, our ongoing initiative to support communities impacted by hurricanes, floods, wildfires, tornadoes, and other emergencies.

Most recently, we released our Special Edition “Texas Strong” Navy Chair Blanket, donating 20% of all sales to flood relief efforts in Texas. This allowed our community to directly participate in helping families recover.
