The Chair Blanket™ officially launched in Fall 2024 with a presale campaign that sold out, validating immediate consumer demand. Chris McCasland, who lost his corporate job during the COVID-19 pandemic, and Tiffany McCasland, a former strategic communications professional at the Pentagon, previously built and scaled City Bonfires into a nationally recognized outdoor brand. After identifying the universal frustration of uncomfortable outdoor seating, they set out to create a solution that felt obvious once you saw it.
“We launched with a presale to test demand — and it completely sold out,” said Chris McCasland. “That told us immediately this wasn’t just a good idea. It was a needed product.”
